Averil Dean girl for the link to Ella - (Averil, we're gonna make the beet-potato soup tonight). I made these vegan, gluten-free sweet potato brownies, and they are, as advertised, delish.
You all have to make them. Seriously. They taste decadent. Totally satisfying, fully anti-inflamatory, plant-based and fat-fucking-free. (The food's free of inflamatories, but the language? Not so much.)
That is all.
One note about Ella's recipe. I roasted the sweet potatoes (in their skins) instead of steaming. Takes a bit longer, but the sweet potatoes are sweeter this way AND super easy to "skin." Also, when I put the brownies in the oven, I baked the skins additionally for Ruby (my dog).ReplyDelete
Yay! I've made these, too, and they're sooo yummy.ReplyDelete
For dinner tonight I made this grilled kale salad with spiced lentils. Holy fuck. I could eat a bucket of that stuff. I'm going to make it at the DH, if only because I can't wait that long to eat it again.
We will eat well - no doubt about it.Delete
Also, while you're kicking it on the food blogs, you might take a look at http://ohsheglows.com/ It's a ridiculous name for a blog/cookbook, but the recipes are healthy and absolutely delicious. I have used her cookbook more than any other over the past few months.ReplyDelete
It's funny you should mention the oh she glows (maybe I got the link from your blog a while back?) - I've been linking to some of the recipes on that site for my food client. It's addictive, totally addictive, this food porn stuff.Delete
